Updated clamp cylinder has larger OD than original external threaded cylinder. Attention must be paid when installing updated cylinder at both the barrel end and the rod end. Cylinder may have to be altered where it rests on arm bushing on the bottom of the arm. The weld where the blue arrow is pointing is where the problem could arise.
When installing pins, pins should be installed with minimal effort. If the technician has difficulty installing pins, more modification is required on the cylinder barrel. DO NOT HAMMER PINS INTO PLACE! Too much pressure on cylinder rod will cause premature failure of cylinder.
Water hose replacement is required at time of installation due to reduced clearance over top of cylinder. New hose is 39” overall. If you have any questions please reach out to there service department.
